Two Distinctly different golf
courses - Seaview Bay Course and Seaview Pines Course.
The Bay Course is challenging
enough to be a regular stop for the Ladies Professional Golf
Association Tour - ShopRite LPGA Classic.
All you need to know about the Pines Course at Seaview, is that
by any measuring method, it's much more difficult than the Bay
Course. At first glance, the extra 161 to 484 yards, depending
on what set of tees are played, combine with the thick rows of
trees down both sides of most fairways to explain why the Pines
Course rates as tougher. The rough makes the Pines Course play
even tighter. The goal off the tee is not just keeping the ball
between the tree lines. Staying in the short grass also makes a
significant difference. Doglegs and the fact that traps at times
narrow the fairways, rather than just define them, make the
course one that demands some skill off the tee. The numbers tell
you that the Pines Course plays 6,211 yards from the white tees,
6,731 yards from the blue and 5,276 yards from the red. The
white tees course rating is 70.1 with a slope of 126, six higher
than the Bay Course. The Pines Course was built prior to World
War II and some of its holes were combined with the Bay Course
to host the 1942 PGA Championship. More than half a century
later, the layout stands the test of time and still provides a
significant test to modern golfers. The only major change is the
switch to Bent grass fairways and Kentucky Bluegrass in a 20-foot
strip down the sides of each fairway as the primary rough. The
new grass is intended to leave course conditions less
susceptible to disease and extreme weather. Two great golf
courses in one location.

either the winds and fescue of a Scottish links style course
(Bay Course) or narrow tree lined fairways and 2 incredible,
back to back, 200 plus yard par 3's of the (Pines Course).
It truly is amazing how completely different these two courses

courses. The Bay Course is more forgiving thus, you'll probably

DIRECTIONS TO SEAVIEW RESORT BAY & PINES
COURSES
FROM NEW YORK & NORTH -
Seaview is 2 hours south of New York
City. Follow the Garden State Parkway (S). Use Exit 48, which is
a one-way exit to Rt. 9 (S). Follow Rt. 9 approx. 7.4 miles.
Resort is on the right. Look for white and green signage with
Seaview logo.
FROM PHILADELPHIA -
Seaview is 50 minutes from Philadelphia. Cross the Walt Whitman
Bridge and follow the signs to the AC Expressway. Take
Expressway to Exit 12. Turn left at the end of ramp onto Rt. 575
(N). Follow Rt. 575 approx. 3.7 miles. At 3rd light, turn right
onto Jimmie Leeds Rd. Follow Jimmie Leeds Rd. 5.8 miles and turn
right Rt. 9. The Resort is on the right. Look for white & green
signage with the Seaview logo.
FROM WASHINGTON, DC & SOUTH -
Follow I-95 (N) to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. After the
bridge, follow Atlantic City; Rt. 40 signs. Continue on Rt. 40
(2 lanes) through Woodstown, Elmer and Mays Landing until you
see the Hamilton Mall. At the 1st light, stay in right lane and
take the jug-handle onto Rt. 575 (N). Follow Rt. 575 approx 4
miles to 5th light and turn right onto Jimmie Leeds Rd. Travel
5.8 miles and make a right onto Rt.9. Resort is on the right.

recognized by "GOLF Magazine" as one of the "Top Challenges" in
