We just finished checking in to the
Trump Plaza and while this hotel has always delivered us
a BIG first class experience, it always impresses me how
it operates like a first class boutique style hotel. It is
exactly 49 steps from the time I exit my car in valet until I am
at the front desk checking in. It is another 62 steps to
the elevators to my amazing room, and a mere 37 steps to the
escalator to the casino floor. If you haven't been to the Trump
Plaza in a while you will notice that within these first 148
steps they've spent millions in upgrades. They have really
given this grand dame a face lift and she wears it well.
It's August and I am here because I want to get some sun, and
plan on putting in some time at the beach bar. They have
live entertainment and everything you could want at the beach.
Usually our toes hit the sand by 11am, with bloody mary's in
hand. I've made dinner reservations at Max's Steak House
tonight, which is an amazing wood paneled dining room with
five star service and a great wine list. I will also have
dinner at "Fortunes", a Mandarin, Cantones, Szechuan dining room
where my wife loves to select her own fresh fish from the live
tanks before we are seated. The casino has been lightened
and retouched into an airy and crisp layout which you will find
very soothing during your hours at the tables or slots.
