Was I dreaming
or was that the 5th hotel employee that smiled at me
(actually made eye contact) and said hello. I just finished
dining at Buddakan and am fortified with a char grilled
aged beef washed down with really big Sonoma Cab our sommelier just
turned us on to. I have the cork in my pocket so I can find it
when I return home, and now have found a seat at a $25.00 black
jack table and a drink has arrived in what seems like seconds.
Just the right color for a Johnny black and a splash. I love it
here. I am alone this trip and I already am feeling a much
different vibe (hmmmm, this is what the other guys live like).
I’m safe for the moment, eyeing my cards and doubling down on a
soft dealer card and a string of 2, 3, and 4’s spun across the
table. I am staying in the centurion tower, and if you haven’t
upgraded your room yet you need to do it now. The decorative
treatments, furniture and amenities embody the sensual earthly
pleasures of a Tuscan Villa of classic Italy. When I’m done
here I’m going to relax in the Club Athena on a butter soft
leather couch and catch the rest of the Flyers game on the flat
screen plasma. I have the Flyers over 7 and I feel a high
scoring game against Pittsburgh tonight. I packed in a hurry
and light since I am solo this trip and was not supervised in
the packing process, make note to self….. go to “Oggi” for men
tomorrow morning when they open to pick up a few things to keep
me presentable for the next few days. I am on an Italian
Holiday at Caesar’s Atlantic City, where I can eat and drink and
wager like a Roman………… I’m glad I am back again! |
