The Atlantic City Aquarium, which opened in May 1999, is the most dynamic addition to the basin. The Aquarium provides a first class experience for shore visitors. The Aquarium also offers a unique educational field trip for students. It’s a great way to introduce visitors, classes or community groups to New Jersey’s Coastal Marine Environment.

Are you looking for an extraordinary experience? We’ve got you covered. Explore one of our many exhibits featuring bizarre creatures such as moray eels and the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, or stop by our interactive exhibits. The Atlantic City Aquarium offers a unique and thrilling experience for every guest. Wait until you see “fish of the mid-atlantic ocean”! This 25,000 gallon exhibit features a variety of sea life native to the waters off of NJ, and the rest of the Mid-Atlantic region. The inhabitants all ranging in size, include Cownose rays, Lookdowns, Permit, Gagg Grouper, Black Drum, Gray Snapper, Blue Runners; just to name a few and don’t forget Groman, our Loggerhead Sea Turtle.

In this tank you have the opportunity to help us feed our stingrays! Special feeding times are at 12 & 3 PM daily. Limited quantities of food are sold at the Aquarium front desk for scheduled feedings.
EXOTIC ANIMAL SHOW
Guests can get up close to some of the Aquarium’s more unusual inhabitants. During this twenty minute presentation you will see a variety of animals which could include a 6 foot Boa, a Bearded Dragon Lizard, or a Tarantula, just to name a few! Aquarium handlers discuss the animal’s native habitats, their sustainability as pets, natural defenses and predatory instincts along with other interesting facts. Throughout the show, everyone will have the opportunity to ask questions. This show can be viewed in front of the Mid-Atlantic Tank at 11 AM & 2 PM. Please check the Events page for specific dates.
