The Philadelphia National Candy Gift and Gourmet Show is America’s largest trade show dedicated to the retail confectioner. It is sponsored by the Retail Confectioners Association of Philadelphia (RCAP) and is a major hit among people of all ages.   

The RCAP is a non-profit Trade Association that was founded in 1918 for the purpose of sharing information and knowledge about candy making and retailing among Philadelphia area confectioners. Over the years, the local focus has expanded and the RCAP currently has over 300 active and associate members throughout the United States and Canada. Today these candy makers and suppliers share their secrets and information to maintain a quality chocolate that everyone will want to purchase. The Association holds educational meetings, plant tours, a spring getaway tour and two national Philadelphia candy, gift & gourmet trade shows each year.

There are a few original exhibitors that continue to make an appearance each year at this Philadelphia Candy convention. They are Asher's Chocolates, Buy-Vue Displays, Casani Candy Company, Crawford Candies, Koppers Chocolate Specialty Company, Merckens Chocolate Company and Nestle Company. This show continues to grow progressively as the year’s progress.

This upcoming year, the RCAP is holding two different shows that you can attend. These shows are held in Atlantic City at the Trump Taj Mahal, Mark Etess Arena. No need to worry though – the Atlantic City Convention Center is fully accessible for every visitor. This includes elevators to all levels, ramps for wheelchair access, Braille signage in almost every elevator and room, and accessible restrooms with appropriate fixtures for those who need it. Even parking has specially marked and reserved parking spaces for disabled people.

Come on down to Atlantic City and check out this tasty little festivity. You can even make a vacation out of it!
